While times have changed for the positive in terms of sexual freedom and identity and gender identity and expression, many private practices can hold outdated beliefs regarding our community. Here, we know that navigating sexuality and gender expression out of the binary, in today's world is still a challenge. Homophobia, Biphobia, Transphobia, Sexism, and the like, are still present obstacles to living a life of wellness. On top of that, as human beings, we struggle with ourselves and our relationships.
I understand that finding a therapist that is affirming of who you are or who want to be is a necessity in this process. With so much stigma, hatred, and ignorance in our world today, I want to make it clear that I am here to accept you fully, as you are today.
I founded my own private practice because I wanted to make a private practice that was specifically for BIPOC and the LGBTQIA+ community. If you join me, you have the benefit of opening up and speaking on issues that would have otherwise been impossible to get emotional support and validation within a traditional setting. I am LGBTQIA+ affirmative with respect for diversity in not just sexual identity but sexual orientations and practices, as well.
Whether you are looking for a therapist that shares your identity, can affirm your gender or sexual identity experiences, help you sort through your gender and sexuality concerns, or simply work with you so that you can obtain a letter of support, I will be in your corner.
